As society evolves, so does the infrastructure that is needed to support daily lives.” – Luke Taylor, Co-President, Stonepeak

Stonepeak Co-President Luke Taylor joined Schwab Network to discuss the evolution of infrastructure as an asset class, touching on topics including investing behind the AI revolution through both digital and energy infrastructure, and finding opportunities in the dislocation the current geopolitical environment has created. When explaining why infrastructure is compelling for investors today, he noted, “Infrastructure has come to the forefront of people’s attention over the last 2-3 years, mainly because of how resilient it has been in a variety of macro conditions. People started investing in infrastructure as a private asset class over thirty years ago, but it’s when we’ve had higher inflation and high interest rates that the infrastructure asset class has been battle tested and has proven to be very good from an inflation correlation perspective. It has weathered macro conditions very well, and that’s why we’re seeing people increase allocations to it.”
