Bloomberg: Kate Dorsey on Data Center Investment Committee Considerations
Stonepeak’s Kate Dorsey, a Managing Director in our Capital Markets group, joined Dani Burger on Bloomberg Television to discuss the key considerations shaping data center investment today, from power bottlenecks to valuations and the financing landscape.
“Where we’re spending our time is [data center] opportunities that do have the power, which is becoming one of the biggest constraints, but also one of the biggest areas of value-add if you can solve for that,” Kate said.
“There’s definitely a differentiation between capacity on paper and real, deliverable capacity,” she added, also noting the importance of other factors like grid interconnectivity, strong contracted demand, and highly creditworthy counterparties.
