Anwim strengthens its international backing: Stonepeak and Energy Equation Partners become new shareholders
On 3 November 2026, Anwim S.A., the operator of the MOYA fuel station network, completed a change-of-ownership transaction. The company’s new shareholders are Stonepeak and Energy Equation Partners, international investors with extensive experience in infrastructure and energy. Their involvement strengthens Anwim’s investment capabilities as the company plans to continue expanding the MOYA network while broadening its operations as a modern multi-energy company.
Anwim is one of Poland’s largest independent fuel companies and the owner of the country’s fastest-growing fuel station network. MOYA, which has maintained a strong pace of expansion for years, currently operates more than 550 stations and ranks third in the Polish market by number of locations. Alongside expanding its network, Anwim is developing its operations in electromobility, fuel imports and wholesale distribution, as well as services for business customers.
Stonepeak and Energy Equation Partners bring significant financial resources and experience in developing businesses operating in the fuel and energy markets. Both investors are involved in the development of the JET network in Germany and Austria. For Anwim, this also creates opportunities to exchange expertise and apply best practices proven in Poland and other European markets, particularly in fuel station network management, services for fleet customers and electromobility.
“Over the past few years, we have consistently strengthened Anwim’s position in the Polish fuel market. Today, we are a strong organisation with one of the largest fuel station networks in the country, but our ambitions extend far beyond that. We want to develop Anwim into a modern multi-energy company that responds to the changing needs of customers and the market. Bringing on board shareholders who share this vision and have experience in delivering major international investment projects gives us a solid foundation for further growth,” says Rafał Pietrasina, President of the Management Board of Anwim S.A.
Further expansion of the MOYA network remains an important element of Anwim’s strategy, but the company’s plans extend beyond the traditional fuel market. Under the MOYA Energia brand, the company is developing electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Anwim also intends to expand its offering and services for business customers in Poland through the development of the MOYA Firma fleet card and across Europe through TFC fleet cards.
“Anwim has built a strong brand, an extensive sales network and an experienced team, and is well positioned for continued growth. We’re excited to work with EEP and Anwim, leveraging our experience and learnings from our global investment portfolio, to further strengthen Anwim’s market position,” says Anthony Borreca, Senior Managing Director at Stonepeak.
“We see the potential in Anwim to build one of Poland’s leading independent multi-energy companies. The company has a strong position in the Polish fuel market, but its growth opportunities extend beyond this segment. Our experience can provide valuable support in delivering these plans. Together with Anwim’s team, we want to develop a business that responds to the changing needs of the energy and mobility markets,” says Rob Nijst, Operating Partner at Energy Equation Partners.
The change of ownership will not affect Anwim’s day-to-day operations. The company’s Management Board will remain unchanged, and Anwim will continue implementing its existing strategy. The terms of cooperation with franchisees, customers, suppliers and other business partners will also remain unchanged.
